Books by Conrad Walters
Journeys on the Silk Road
Co-written with Joyce Morgan (Conrad’s spouse!), Journeys on the Silk Road is a biography about the world’s oldest, printed book.
It follows Hungarian explorer Aurel Stein whose expedition into China in the early 1900s led to the manuscript’s rediscovery. It had been forgotten in a cave on the edge of the Gobi Desert for a thousand years.
With nearly 250 ratings on Amazon (score 4.2) and more than 450 on Goodreads (3.9), the non-fiction account traces a remarkable piece of history.
The book, originally published by Picador in Australia (2011) and in hardback by Lyons Press (2012), is now available solely as an ebook.
Short Fiction
Short stories by Conrad Walters have appeared in three consecutive anthologies and a 40th anniversary collection, all published by the University of Technology, Sydney.
